About Us

PLAYSKOOL - the ”skool” of play:

At PLAYSKOOL, we were the first to recognize that kids learn through play.  That was over 80 years ago when most people thought that learning and play were two totally different things.  Today everyone knows that play is learning, and that’s why we here at PLAYSKOOL focus on creating fun first toys so that children love to play and learn.  And, we recognize that you are your child’s best teacher and playmate.  From ABCs and 123s, to “please” and “I love you”; your kids are always learning with you (especially when they’re laughing).

Growing up PLAYSKOOL

It’s hard to believe, but toys weren’t always recognized as the wonderful tool of learning they really are.

At PLAYSKOOL, we were the first to create toys designed specifically to encourage learning. In 1928, two schoolteachers founded “The PLAYSKOOL Institute” based on the firm belief that children learn best through play.

As teachers, these women understood the essential truth that for babies and toddlers, learning and playing are essentially the same thing. They built PLAYSKOOL on this concept and eighty years later, PLAYSKOOL is an award-winning, internationally respected toy manufacturer, and continues to create toys that embrace the “learning through play” philosophy.
