No mess, no hassle. Setup and cleanup in the classroom with PLAY-DOH modeling compound couldn't be easier.
SET UP
There's virtually no prep time with PLAY-DOH compound. Just pick an activity or pass out a printable image, then pop open a can, and you're off! Children enjoy a quick, easy start as much as you do.
- A flat, clean smooth surface is ideal for kids to work on. We suggest laying a plastic sheet or disposable tablecloth over desks when using PLAY-DOH compound for even easier cleanup. Once again a mat / tarp under the table?
-
- Another great idea is a permanent PLAY-DOH table in the classroom. When PLAY-DOH compound has a home, children learn to use it in one spot. Use our CREATIVITY CENTER toy, or create your own, ideally you want a table that can seat up to five students a time. Make sure each student has plenty of PLAY-DOH colors to prevent fighting.
CLEANUP
Creative play may be over, but that doesn't mean children can't still use their imaginations. Ask students to think of the most creative way to clean up their PLAY-DOH compound. Whoever thinks of the best idea gets to choose the next activity.
- No time to have the kids help? Let the PLAY-DOH compound dry and use a plastic spatula to quickly scrape it off desks. Remember: PLAY-DOH compound is inexpensive and easy to buy. There's no substitute for a fresh can!
- Need to clean up bits of PLAY-DOH from the floor or work surface? No Problem! If the compound is still moist, try picking up smaller pieces with a larger piece. This method may even work on carpet.
-
- If PLAY-DOH compound gets into the carpet, Don't Panic! PLAY-DOH compound will naturally dry and can be loosened with a stiff brush. If necessary, pick up dried crumbs with a dust buster or vacuum cleaner. Do not use hot water or cleaning solutions.
