SCARY MONSTERS
Students create their own monsters

Teaches children that monsters are make-believe
Materials needed:
PLAY-DOH compound
Activity:
Have students create "scary" monsters and name them. Explain to students that all monsters are make-believe, just like the PLAY-DOH monsters they've made. Have students display their monsters and explain why they arenĂ¢€™t scary anymore. (Students can even "smash" their monsters afterward!)

Activity:
Have children sculpt their favorite holiday object. Have each student explain to the class what their favorite object is and why.
VALENTINE'S DAY

VALENTINES FOR EVERYONE
Students create their own valentines

Materials needed:
PLAY-DOH compound, Construction paper and/or paper doilies
Activity:
Have students make 3-D Valentines out of PLAY-DOH compound, using construction paper and/or paper doilies as a base or as sculptural elements. Afterward, assign each valentine a number and have a drawing where each student picks a number and gets to take the corresponding Valentine.
EASTER / SPRINGTIME

EASTER BASKETS
Students create their own Easter basket and contents out of PLAY-DOH compound

Materials needed:
Pastel Colored PLAY-DOH compound, Green plastic "grass"
Activity:
1. Separate students into groups of two
2. Have one student make the basket, and the other make the contents, filling the basket with their favorite Easter "things." Then, have each team present their basket. You may also display baskets around the room as decorations.
