10/16 Orlando Blog

 

How refreshing to see some palm trees in sunny Orlando!  The warm weather was very welcomed after the rain in Houston.  It was great seeing all the smiling faces from around the world who ventured to Orlando on vacation.  We had NERF fans from all over some check out the new FuryFires.  With Orlando being the site for the first ever NERF Dart Tag World Championships, it made everything that much more intense!  The Finals were awesome; we saw the best action yet inside the Battle Dome of our Regional Championships fighting a fierce competition for a race to the finish and a $25,000 Grand Prize!

10/04 Houston Blog

 

Houston was another great stop for the NERF team!  We had some rain to deal with, but overall everything was great.  We had some fans who were really interested in the Tournament, and are thinking about driving down to Orlando to compete.  This was one of our shorter weekends, but we had the opportunity to see fans at two different Toys R Us stores.  We had some big time Houston Texan fans come by our event Sunday after the Texans game let out a few blocks away.  As the Orlando Tournament and NERF Dart Tag World Championships get closer I can really feel the excitement that has built up.  We are excited to see everyone from all the previous cities down there, and look forward to meeting all the Orlando NERF fans!

9/28 Dallas Blog

 

What a great weekend!  We had over 50 people come over on Saturday and try out the new Fury Fire blasters.  We were set up in the parking lot on Geoffrey's birthday.  We even got Geoffrey to come out and shoot the blasters a little. The weather was nice, just hot.  Those Gatorades are so thirst quenching on these hot days.  We also had the opportunity to visit the newest Dallas Toys R Us.  It is the third largest in the country.  What an amazing store!  There was a great NERF display up front, and everyone seemed anxious to get the new blasters in their hands.  We are headed down to Houston now.

 

 

9/14 Salt Lake City Blog

 

The Salt Lake City retail stops we had were kind of slow but productive.  Most of our customers who came by to check out the NERF display thought the new blasters were awesome!  It was funny because the store employees were having just as much fun as everyone who came by to try them out!  The tournament at the DEW Tour was as always a big hit, which had our visitors really excited about the upcoming weekend's events and their chances at participating in the tournament.  Great Time!

 

 

9/7 Las Vegas Blog

 

Vegas was the hottest stop of the tour so far.  Las Vegas had some avid paintballers that are ready to give Dart Tag a shot.  They think they have what it takes to win the tournament.  What does everyone think about that?  Are there other cities that are ready to step up to this challenge?  We had some kids that were lucky enough to take home the new Fury Fire set, and I know that a lot put the Fury Fire set on the Christmas list.  We are now headed to Salt Lake City for the 4th regional tournament in Salt Lake city.

 

 

8/31 Los Angeles Blog

It is hard to beat the scenery coming down the coast of California.  Los Angeles brought yet another first for us.  We had the pleasure of helping Sears introduce its new toy section.  We had a great response from everyone at Sears, and everyone shopping at the Mall.  We set up inside the mall stores, and had tons of people come by to check out the display.  We had fans that couldn't get enough Dart Tag; they stayed and practiced with the new Fury Fire blasters for over an hour.  Headed to Vegas then onto Salt Lake City for the next stop of the Dew Tour.

8/24 San Francisco Blog

Man that is a nice drive down to northern California!  San Francisco had such great weather, and everyone that we had the opportunity to meet is ready for the NDTL to bring a tournament to San Francisco.  We had some great fans cruise by on their bikes and hang out.  Many fans were disappointed that they had just missed the tournament in Portland the week before, but extremely excited to hear that NERF has created a league for Dart Tag. 

 

 

8/15 Portland Dew Tour

First off I want to say Thank You and hello again to all the fans that we saw and met on our drive across the country.  We had quite the drive and got the opportunity to meet NERF fans who were excited to hear about the inception of the NDTL.

 

Portland welcomed the NERF team with open arms.  We had great turnouts at our retail locations in-market.  We also had some fans find our retail schedule on the NERF website and come sign up to compete in the NERF Dart Tag World Championships.

 

The Fury Fire and Strike Fire blasters have made their long awaited debut at our retail locations!  During the first day that we saw them on the shelves at one of our retail events, they sold five Fury Fire sets as soon as we got there to setup.  One NDTL member bought two Fury Fire sets simply to train for the NERF Dart Tag World Championship Tournament.  He made it to the semi-finals and displayed great skills throughout the tournament.

 

Most intense Tournament competition to date! The 13-17 Tournament was filled with new strategies, passionate fans cheering along the sidelines, and some seriously entertaining competitions! Not to mention emotional – the parents of our 8-12 winners were crying they were so happy about their upcoming trip to Orlando for the finals.

 

 

7/24 Boston Dew Tour

What a great response from all the NERF fans in Boston!  We had so many comments from fans who can remember their first NERF balls all the way up to the newest NERF Dart Tag blasters that they now purchase for their children – and themselves!

 

The new Fury Fire and Strike Fire blasters are getting great reviews from all the fans that are getting an exclusive sneak peak before they hit stores this Summer.  Everyone enjoys the auto-advance feature on the Fury Fire and the new feel and easy-to-operate quality of the blaster!

 

The cheers from the bleachers around the Battle Dome were heard all around Festival Village and along the streets.  Overall, the competition in Boston was intense and all the teams brought their "A" game.

 

 

Philadelphia, PA Retail Stop:

NERF is huge is Philadelphia!  We had some serious NERF experts at our events this weekend. Everyone was very excited to play with the new Fury Fire blasters, and get in some much needed target practice on Wade. Great exposure for Dart Tag all around. Looking forward to coming back.

 

 

Columbus, OHRetail Stop:

What a great July 4th weekend!  The weather was beautiful for the holiday and we had great turnouts at our events. We had a lot of people sign up for the NDTL, and Columbus is eager for a NERF Dart Tag Tournament in their hometown.  Great weekend overall – hopefully we will get the chance to see everyone here in Columbus again soon.

 

 

6/27 Chicago Dew Tour:

 

The first stop of the Dew Tour and the first NDTL World Championship tournament went great.  The Nerfinaters took the 13-17 age bracket and the Master Blasters took the 8-12 age bracket for the Chicago Dew Tour Regionals.  The competition throughout the weekend was intense!  We had a fantastic turn out for the Scrimmage games, and hope to have another great turn out in Boston next month.  Everyone was excited to play Dart Tag in the Battle Dome and get their hands on the new Fury Fire blasters. We are headed to Columbus, OH this week…looking forward to seeing everyone at the events this weekend and making some new friends!

 

 

6/23 Chicago Retail Stop:

 

We had a great start to the Nerf tour in Providence, RI and Cleveland, OH.

Glad to see all the NERF fans coming out to the Retail events and checking out the new blasters.

We had some great support on our drive into Chicago. We had tons of friends give us thumbs up, and taking pictures of the truck and trailer as they passed us on the highway.

We are finishing up our Retail events this weekend and getting ready for the first NERF Dart Tag World Championship Tournament at Dew Tour next week in Chicago! Hope to see everyone out there!
