MONOPOLY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009: The UK Regional Final!

From Birmingham to Bournemouth, from Skegness to Blackpool, over 300 monopoly fanatics talked fast and rolled quicker for a place in the 2009 UK Monopoly Regional Final.

From the four regional competitions, 16 senior players and 4 junior players emerged triumphant and will now meet head to head in the UK Monopoly final, to be held during MAY 2009 (final date tbc).

The Winner of the senior tournament will fly the flag for the UK in the 13th World Monopoly Championships in LAS VEGAS. The junior winner will take home a selection of multimedia prizes.

 

Like the Olympics, the Monopoly World Championships take place every four years. Tokyo was the last host city where representatives from 36 countries rolled and negotiated their way round the board.  In 2009, Las Vegas gets the Monopoly treatment as it prepares itself as the host city. 

Contestants from around the world will be competing to take home the coveted crown of MONOPOLY WORLD CHAMPION 2009!
