Host a bash to remember with these quick and easy dinner party ideas.
Decorate the room with homemade Zooma puzzles. Take some close-up photographs and hang them on the walls. Give out prizes when your guests correctly identify the objects in the pictures!
The best dinner parties are ones where everybody talks, everybody laughs, and everybody wants to stay past bedtime. Before dinner, have each of the guests fill out a Fun Fact Card. Toss them in a bowl and then draw Fun Fact cards throughout the evening. See if you can guess who each card belongs to.
Ask your guests to R.S.V.P. with a song that reminds them of high school or a song from the first album they ever owned. Mix a CD of the songs to play during your party. Can you guess whose favorite song is whose? Make copies of the mix to send home with your guests as party favors!
Start a dinner-party scrapbook! Your friends will love reading others' submissions and writing their own. Get a blank book and write a Conga prompt at the top of each page (or, make up your own!). Some of our favorites are "something worth saving my money for" and "something you might find under my bed." Set it on the coffee table with fun pens and stickers. Have guests "sign" your scrapbook with their answers.
After dinner, bring out your guests' inner Creative Cat by creating a collaborative piece of art. Buy a piece of stretched canvas and some paints. Have your guests take turns adding to the painting. They'll have a blast, and by the end you'll have a unique piece of art to hang proudly on your wall!
