2-Player Whoonu

"My husband picked up Whoonu for the two of us (in an effort to earn cool points in the 'getting-to-know-you-better department,' which he did). But the instructions were for 3 to 6 players, not 2. We brainstormed and quickly came up with this 2-player version:

  • The Whoozit deals four cards to the Whoonu
  • The Whoonu writes down the order that he or she thinks the Whoozit likes the items on the cards
  • The Whoozit then reviews the cards and puts them in the preferred order
  • The Whoonu receives one token for each correct guess
  • The Whoozit and Whoonu switch after each round

"For example, let's say the Whoonu puts the cards in this order: popcorn, walking the dog, pepper, parades. But the Whoozit prefers this order: parades, popcorn, pepper, walking the dog. The Whoonu would be awarded one token for this round because one card is in the proper order.

"Because there are only two of us, we could quickly play five rounds and explain our answers, making it great for deeper knowledge of each other.

"You'd think we'd know each other better than we did after four-and-a-half years of marriage and a total of seven years together. After four rounds, I earned only four points, and my husband had earned seven!

"I was surprised, to say the least. Please let others know about our 2-player version, so they can have as much fun as we did getting to know each other better."

Thanks to the Redmers, Craniac couples everywhere can enjoy a new twist on a great game. Whoonu?!
