Save the Children Festival of Trees
Hasbro are delighted to have been asked to donate a bespoke Christmas tree as part of the Save the Children's Festival of Trees 2009 - an auction of one-off Christmas trees that have been adorned with gifts from a number of leading designers and companies including Harrods, Sunday Times, Jimmy Choo and Thomas Pink. The annual event has raised over £4 million since it started. The trees are auctioned at the Natural History Museum in the presence of HRH The Princess Royal, President Save the Children and various celebrities and invited guests.
The My Little Pony team at Hasbro have created a very special girly tree decorated with all things My Little Pony; sparkle, lights, dashes of pink and purple and of course the Ponies! The tree comes with a huge selection of all the latest My Little Pony products and a candy stripe toy box overflowing with accessories. Included with the tree is a money cant buy My Little Pony decorating kit. 10 very special all white ponies are included with everything needed to throw a decorating party. Finally two very special prizes complete the gift: FurReal Friends Biscuit My Lovin' Pup and FurReal Friends Lulu My Cuddlin' Kitty. Hasbro have donated an additional auction prize for the event, one lucky winner can bring home the fun with Hasbro's beautifully handcrafted bespoke games trunk that comes with four sets of games in the Family Game Night promotion. One set of games for the winner to keep and the other three to donate to a charity or community project of their choice.
The Hasbro Playroom Renovation on the London Home from Home will start in late 2009 and the building will incorporate a Hasbro Playroom. Hasbro staff will be involved in the design of the room to make it a creative and inspiring play space for children of all ages. Hasbro staff will also be involved in painting murals on the walls and finally the playroom will be filled with Hasbro toys and games for the families to enjoy in 2010. Hasbro have made a significant donation to the children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent to assist them in building their £5million project the London Home from Home located just 17 miles from Hasbro’s Office in Stockley Park. The building offers families with children undergoing cancer treatment at University College Hospital a chance to stay for free near to the hospital. Very sick children travel from all over the UK to undergo treatment in London and the new Home from Home offers the family a self-catering place to stay nearby.
