NEW GIRL TALK GAMES FROM HASBRO CELEBRATE THE FUN OF BEING A GIRL
Girls Dare to Have Fun with Dare Confetti, Sparkle Spots and Sassy Sticks
East Longmeadow, Mass. (February 12, 2010) – Girls just want to have fun, and Hasbro's new collection of GIRL TALK games will help girlfriends do just that. The new line of GIRL TALK games for tweens and teens includes Dare Confetti, Sparkle Spots, and Sassy Sticks, each a unique game that gets girls talking, bonding and laughing over the things that make each of them special.
“Knowing how much girls love spending quality time together was one of the reasons for creating these games,” said Phillip Jackson, Group Executive of Games at Hasbro. “While developing the new GIRL TALK games, we consulted with more than 400 young girls to ensure that we were creating games that would really be appealing for them to do while spending time together. We’re excited with the result and hope girls will enjoy talking and laughing while playing these new games.”
The GIRL TALK line will launch with three games. The first takes on “truth or dare” in GIRL TALK: Dare Confetti. To begin, girls toss out the brightly colored confetti included in the game onto the table or floor. Each player picks up one of the three different colored pieces of confetti and makes up a dare for each player to act out using the words on the confetti. Upon completion of the dare, the winner receives a “gem” to wear for the remainder of the game. The first player to collect 5 “gems” is the winner.
In GIRL TALK: Sparkle Spots, girls can show off their talents. Players pick “challenge cards” from four categories: Act It, Spill It, Say It or Do It and perform the challenges for the group. A designated judge for each round picks a winner for “Best Performance,” “Silliest Performance” and “Most Creative Performance.” The winner of each round will collect a colorful bracelet to wear, and the player to collect five bracelets first is the winner.
Open the GIRL TALK: Sassy Sticks game to find vibrant sticks with sentences that have missing words. Roll the dice to decide what type of answer players need to come up with, such as “silliest” or “grossest.” All players write down an answer to the question and the player whose turn it is picks which answer they think is the best. That player wins the round and gets a ring! The first player to collect five rings is the winner.
Each game is packaged in a colorful, fun container that will fit in on the top of a vanity table or dresser. GIRL TALK games are recommended for 2 or more players, ages 8 and up, and will be available in Fall 2010, each for an approximate retail price of $12.99, making them a perfect sleepover accessory or birthday gift.
