Easy-Bake 2009 "Baker of the Year" Contest is the Icing on the Cake for the Beloved Brand
PAWTUCKET, RI – February 13, 2009 – Since 1963, the EASY-BAKE Oven from Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE: HAS) has been cooking up culinary inspiration in hearts and homes across America. In 2009 the beloved brand will continue to offer its classic EASY-BAKE Oven & Snack Center. Like the original EASY-BAKE Oven first introduced in1963, the EASY-BAKE Oven & Snack Center uses a light bulb to create tasty cakes, brownies, and cookies. Pint-sized bakers will enjoy applying finishing touches to favorite treats with the EASY-BAKE Decorating Sensation Frosting Pen (sold separately.)
Last fall, Hasbro began searching kitchens across the country for the next EASY BAKE "Baker of the Year." The contest invites kids and their adult “sous chef” to enter their favorite EASY-BAKE recipe. One winner will be chosen each month through February 2009, and will be invited to a final baking challenge in May 2009 at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando Florida. The grand prize-winning pair will receive a culinary-inspired trip for four to San Francisco, CA, where the group will visit local food-related sites and attractions.
