Gifts of Hope are monetary grants from the Hasbro Children’s Fund.

The Hasbro Children's Fund is the philanthropic grantmaking arm of Hasbro, Inc. and was established to help children in need triumph over critical life obstacles.

We fund around three core principles:

• programs which provide hope to children who need it most
• play for children who otherwise would not be able to experience that joy
• the empowerment of youth through service

Philanthropic Partners

With the help of strategic philanthropic partners, we work to make the biggest impact for children around these principles.  Hasbro has entered into these strategic partnerships to support children on both a global and national scale.

Local Grants

Locally we support programs which provide; stability for children in crisis; pediatric physical and mental health services; hunger security; educational programs in collaboration with state leadership; and quality out of school time programming.

In the locations where Hasbro has operating facilities (RI; Springfield, MA; Renton, WA; Los Angeles, CA) we annually provide local community grants.

We have a number of multi-year commitments already in place including:

• Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket
• Baystate Health
• First Star
• Zimmer Children's Museum
  

The focus of our 2010 local community grants was:

• Programs providing stability for children in crisis
• Food pantries servicing families in need
• Quality out-of-school time programs for children in need that build skills for the whole child but with an emphasis on programs encouraging creativity and/or service learning.  The program must service a geographic area not limited to a single school.

2011 Local Funding:

Hasbro has already made a number of commitments in our operating areas so we will be making the rest of our community grants through an RFP process. Those RFPs have already been sent to organizations in our areas. Please return to this site in 2012 for information regarding future support in our operating areas.
